'Drinking mirror' shows aging effects of alcohol
Fri Jan 11, 2013
Okay, the plain facts: there are studies of Mormon women that don't drink that show a lower incidence of breast cancer.
Second concussion can be devastating, even after clear CT scan, study finds
Tue Jan 1, 2013
Football is too risky for developing brains. Any moron can understand this but it doesn't stop anyone from the obvious. Football should be reexamined as a sport. I had football contact that nearly killed me. Football is for those that want to risk everything just to be able to take out their aggress …
Authorities ID gunman who killed 27 in elementary school massacre
Fri Dec 14, 2012
Does having mental illness disqualify someone from having the protection of a hand gun. That would mean a woman that is raped and has depression is mentally ill but can't defend herself with a gun. Mental illness is a broad term. Bullying leads to schizophrenia, so does the victim lose their right t …
Machine turns vote for Obama into one for Romney
Tue Nov 6, 2012
This is why I don't like electronic voting. Is this an error or fraud? Interesting that the person documenting it was a software developer. I wonder where this is heading? I guess it won't matter if there is a landslide. But it really makes you wonder. I know the US has a long history of voter suppr …
Many needlessly getting steroid injections for back pain, bioethicist says
Thu Oct 18, 2012
Sorry, but I've had the injections and they offer immediate relief. The pain pills, the NSAIDS all have side effects. The procedure was painless and the results were great. Unless you've had serious back pain you don't know what you are talking about.
'No one really cares': US deaths in Afghanistan hit 2,000 in 'forgotten' war
Wed Aug 22, 2012
It's really unfair to our troops. We have overextended a volunteer army. If there was a draft the public would take note and alarm. We have taken the fight to the enemy. We have met our goals. Nation building in backwards countries just doesn't make sense. Let's bring the troops home now. If the Mid …
Apple, Samsung go for KO in trial's final round
Mon Aug 20, 2012
Apple is protecting IP. Have you seen the Conan skit? Samsung couldn't take the time to even change the icons? If you don't want companies to protect IP then you won't get great devices. Apple is looking ahead as well as the present. If appeals are going to be mandatory this will last for years. App …
Apple becomes most valuable company in history
Mon Aug 20, 2012
The sophistication of this line of comments is astounding. Sheep anyone? Have I heard that somewhere else? Apple has the apps this time. It will be interesting to see if anyone can have as many. I remember the days when windows users claimed that windows was dominate because they had all the apps. F …

Rise in pill abuse forces new look at US drug fight
Mon Jul 16, 2012
It's okay for the DEA to ship hundreds of assault weapons to Mexico in fast and furious but it is not okay for me to plant one marijuana plant for personal use. There is something wrong with this picture. Our priorities are just out of whack. I think the profit driven war on drugs is doing more harm …
